What’s new

Every update to Legacy Golf Systems, newest first — what changed on your tee sheet, your till and your dashboard, and anything you need to switch on.

Widgets from the side; blocks come in five sizes

v1.0.196

October 11, 2026

Edit layout now opens a Widgets panel on the right that you drag blocks out of, and every block is one of five tile sizes picked from a menu instead of pulled to any shape.

  • A Widgets panel instead of an Add block drawer

Press Edit layout and a panel slides in from the right with every block you haven't placed — Numbers, Quick actions, Panels, Reports. Drag one straight onto the overview where you want it, or tap its + to add it at the bottom. Save, Load layout from…, Reset and Cancel live at the foot of the panel.

Find it in Overview → Edit layout

  • Five tile sizes, no free resize

The overview is four tiles across and a block is exactly S (one tile), M (two wide), L (two by two), W (the full row) or XL (the full row, two tall). Each block's bar shows its size letter — press it for the sizes that block comes in, drawn in proportion. The corner handles are gone. Anything you'd already arranged has been snapped to the nearest size and position.

Find it in Overview → Edit layout → the letter on a block's bar

Legacy Restaurant POS has its own front door

v1.0.195

October 11, 2026

legacyrestaurantpos.com is the restaurant product's landing page; sign-in and the admin stay where they are. Plus a simpler Add person form.

  • legacyrestaurantpos.com

A landing page for the restaurant product — tabs, handheld readers, QR ordering, time clock, and an animated walk-through of an 86 travelling from the register to the menu boards, the website, the manager's phone and the reprinted menu through DuesterTap. Send restaurant prospects there; the Login link brings them back here.

    Find it in legacyrestaurantpos.com

  • Add person: the role is the whole decision

The "Can sign in on the website" tick is gone. An Admin gets a login and an invite; an Employee is POS-only and clocks in with a PIN — their email is just for shift and tips messages. Anyone who already has a staff login keeps it.

Find it in Team → Roster & pay → Add person

Edit layout for everyone; quick actions are blocks

v1.0.194

October 10, 2026

The overview editor now shows for platform logins too, each quick-action tile is a block of its own, and the Sales change sits beside the number.

  • Quick actions: each tile is its own block

Sales today, Open tabs, Open tee sheet, DuesterTap and the rest are no longer grouped in a Quick actions section with its own Customize — each is a small block you place anywhere, from Add block → Quick actions. The tiles you had pinned are where the section used to be.

Find it in Overview → Edit layout → Add block → Quick actions

  • Edit layout for platform logins

The Edit layout button was hidden for platform logins. It shows for whoever is signed in now, and Load layout from… offers every venue.

Find it in Overview → Edit layout (top right)

  • Sales change beside the number

The ↑/↓ percentage sits to the right of the Sales figure as a pill; "vs last Friday at this time" is the small line under it.

Find it in Overview → Sales

Arrange the overview your way · tips after midnight stay with the night

v1.0.193

October 10, 2026

Every card on the overview can be moved, resized, added or removed, per person. A tip day now runs 4:00 AM to 4:00 AM (adjustable), so a bar's last tabs and last hour of the shift count on the night they belong to.

  • A tip day starts at 4:00 AM

Card tips taken after midnight, and the hours worked after midnight, used to count toward the NEXT day. In a tip pool that meant last night's closing tips went into today's pot, last night's bartender took a slice of today's tips for the 50 minutes she worked after 12, and the timesheet's Card tips column didn't add up to the day's tips. Everything that splits or shows tips — the pool, the Card tips column, the clock-out text, the Shift tips and Labor & tips reports — now uses the same 4:00 AM boundary.

Find it in Settings → Money → Tips → "A tip day starts at"

Worth doing: Nothing, unless you close later than 4:00 AM — then move the hour.

  • Sales vs last week on the overview

The Sales card now says how today compares with the same day last week at this time — "↑ 5% vs last Friday at this time", a Tuesday against last Tuesday. With the 7-day or 30-day tabs, or a custom range, it compares with the equally long stretch just before.

Find it in Overview → Sales

  • Arrange the overview your way

Every card on the overview — the sales numbers, How busy is it, Sales by location, Quick actions, Bookings, and any report — is now a block you can move, resize, add or remove. Press Edit layout, drag a block by its bar, pull its corner to resize, × to take it off, and Add block to bring one on. The arrangement is yours, not the venue's: another admin of the same venue keeps their own. If you run more than one venue, Save as my default sets the layout they all start from, Save for this venue overrides it here, and Load layout from… copies what you built at another venue. The old Pin a report picker is replaced by Add block → Reports.

Find it in Overview → Edit layout (top right)

DuesterTap items with a single price now sync

v1.0.192

October 7, 2026

An item priced in DuesterTap without a named size (one plain price) was reported as "no price" and left off the till. It syncs now.

  • Single-price items pull in

DuesterTap stores a plain price as a size tier with no name. We only read tiers that had a size name, so items like a $2 soda or a $12 pizza showed under "couldn't be pulled in — no price in DuesterTap" even though the price was set. They now sync with that price; items with named sizes (16 oz / 32 oz) are unchanged.

Find it in Catalog → Synced from DuesterTap

Accessibility statement

v1.0.191

October 6, 2026

A public accessibility statement, linked from the footer of every customer page, the booking widget and the admin.

  • Accessibility statement

A plain-English page saying what we do to keep booking, ordering, gift cards and the account usable with a keyboard, a screen reader or enlarged text, where we know the gaps are, and how to tell us when something doesn't work — plus a reminder that every venue can take the same booking or order by phone or at the desk. Golfers and customers see the link under every page, including the booking widget on your own website; you see it in the footer of the admin.

Find it in Any customer page → Accessibility (footer)

  • Small fixes from the accessibility check

The booking widget now announces itself properly to screen readers inside your website, and a few links and lists on the public site were tidied up for assistive technology.

Settings, reorganised — and any date on Orders & tabs

v1.0.190

October 6, 2026

Settings are now seven pages grouped by what a setting is, with a search box; Orders & tabs can show any day or date range.

  • Settings grouped by what they are

Venue (profile, order handoff, stations, kitchen screens, integrations, support) · Money (Stripe, tips & fast checkout, card fees, cash prices, end of night, billing) · Devices & printers · Team & payroll (pay roles, pay period, overtime, the clock-out switches) · Automations & messages (every text and email the system sends, kitchen texts, scheduled report emails, who gets alerted) · Golf · Online ordering. Nothing was removed; every old link still lands on the card it meant.

    Find it in Settings

  • Find a setting

Settings → All settings has a search box: type "tax" or "tips" and jump straight to the card.

Find it in Settings → All settings

  • Orders & tabs: pick any date

Next to Today / 7 days / 30 days there's a date picker — choose a day or a range to see every tab from back then, with items, payments and refunds.

Find it in Sales → Orders & tabs

Payroll settings under Settings too

v1.0.189

October 6, 2026

The pay period, overtime and cash-tips switches are reachable from Settings → Payroll as well as Time & payroll.

  • Settings → Payroll

Same page as Team → Time & payroll → Payroll settings; it just has a second door where people look for settings.

Find it in Settings → Payroll

Show PINs code fix

v1.0.188

October 6, 2026

The 6-digit code for Show PINs was being checked one digit short when typed quickly — fixed.

  • Show PINs accepts the code again

Typing the last digit submitted the code before the sixth digit had registered, so a correct code came back as "not correct". Fixed.

Find it in Team → People → Show PINs

  • Support reader key (platform console)

Each venue's page in the platform console can mint a device key for the Luma Tech test reader after a code to the platform phone. The venue sees it under Devices as "Luma Tech support reader" and can revoke it; every new request retires the previous key.

Find it in Platform console → venue → Team

Card tips on the timesheet, and the reader finally asks about cash tips

v1.0.187

October 6, 2026

The timesheet shows each shift's card tips beside the cash column, and reader app 0.20.1 asks for cash tips at clock-out.

  • Card tips column on the timesheet

Each punch shows the person's share of that day's card tips — the pool split by hours, or their own tabs if tips aren't pooled — so the sheet says what you owe them without opening a report. A shift still on the clock shows "so far".

Find it in Team → Time & payroll

  • Cash tips asked at clock-out (reader app 0.20.1)

With "Ask for cash tips at clock-out" on, the reader now asks the moment someone clocks out — from the PIN screen or the name pill: Enter amount, Text me a link (if they have a mobile on file), or Skip. The answer lands in the Cash tips column straight away. The switch existed; the reader never asked.

    Find it in S710 clock-out · Settings → Payroll

Worth doing: Install reader app 0.20.1 (platform console).

Shift-summary text counts the whole shift

v1.0.186

October 6, 2026

The clock-out text now totals tips for the business day the shift started on, even when the clock-out is after midnight.

  • Tips in the clock-out text after midnight

Someone clocking out at 12:30am used to be texted "Tips: $0.00" because the summary looked at the new calendar day. It now covers the day the shift started, through to the clock-out.

    Find it in Clock-out text

Cash prices include tax

v1.0.185

October 6, 2026

A venue switch so a $4.00 drink is $4.00 in cash — the tax sits inside the price and still shows on the tax report.

  • Cash prices include tax

Turn it on under Settings → Venue → Cash. A cash customer pays the menu price exactly; card customers pay tax on top as before. The tax is still owed — it's backed out of the cash price and included in the Sales tax report, so you file correctly. Applies when a whole tab is paid in cash. Receipts say "Tax included in price". Needs reader app 0.20.0 for the Cash button to show the lower figure; the admin's Mark paid — cash shows it straight away.

Find it in Settings → Venue → Cash · S710 checkout · Orders & tabs

Worth doing: Install reader app 0.20.0 (platform console) on any reader at a venue that turns this on.

Refunds come off the payment mix

v1.0.184

October 6, 2026

"How they paid" and the tab count now subtract refunds, so they agree with the Paid figure.

  • How they paid nets refunds

A sale that was refunded used to still count in the Cash / Card bars (the refund wasn't taken back off), so the bars could add up to more than Paid. They now match. A tab refunded in full no longer counts as a closed-out tab, and the reader's End of night totals net refunds the same way.

Find it in Overview → How they paid · S710 → End of night

Reader app 0.19.2: smarter PIN screen, honest test prints

v1.0.183

October 5, 2026

The reader says when you're already on the clock, flags when a newer app is out, tells you why a test print failed, and the name pill explains how to switch person.

  • Clock in or Log in — the button knows

Type your PIN and, if you're already on the clock, the button changes to Log in and the screen says so. Instant from what the reader last saw, confirmed by the server a moment later; pressing early is always safe.

Find it in S710 PIN screen

  • Update reminder

If a newer reader app is in the console, the version line at the bottom of the PIN screen turns red: "Newer version available — please update soon".

Find it in S710 PIN screen

  • Test print tells the truth

Printers › now shows which network the reader is on, and Test print reports per printer: sent, or exactly why not (wrong address, printer refused port 9100, reader on cellular). The admin's Test button explains that printing has to be tested from the reader.

    Find it in S710 → Printers ›

  • "· switch" on the name pill

The name in the corner of the tabs screen now reads e.g. "Trae · switch". Tapping it asks before going back to the PIN screen, and says the current person stays clocked in.

Find it in S710 tabs screen

Who's on the clock, in the nav

v1.0.182

October 5, 2026

The Team entry in the left menu shows how many people are clocked in right now.

  • Clocked-in count beside Team

A small grey number next to Team in the menu — hover it and it says "3 people are clocked in right now". It disappears when nobody is.

Find it in Left menu → Team

  • "Open the tab", not "Close them out"

The button on a Take action item for an old open tab, and the one on each row under Orders & tabs, only open the tab — they don't charge anything. They now say Open, and the choice (card on file, enter a card, cash, void) is made inside.

Find it in Take action · Orders & tabs

Phone-order printer routing survives the switch

v1.0.181

October 5, 2026

Turning mobile ordering off and on again keeps the printer routing you set for phone orders.

  • Routing you can't see isn't touched

Saving the routing diagram used to clear the phone-orders wiring while mobile ordering was switched off (the row wasn't on screen, so it was treated as removed). The diagram now only saves the rows it shows; everything else is left as it was.

Find it in Settings → Devices & printers → Printers & routing

Printers: new ones appear in routing straight away

v1.0.180

October 5, 2026

Adding or removing a printer updates the routing diagram without a reload, and stations are labelled as stations.

  • No reload after adding a printer

The routing diagram picks up a new printer the moment it's saved, so you can wire it right away.

Find it in Settings → Devices & printers → Printers & routing

  • Routing is per reader

The diagram no longer lists a row per station (it showed as "Main (register)"). Each reader is wired to its printers directly; phone orders keep their own row.

Find it in Settings → Devices & printers → Printers & routing

Six boxes for the Show PINs code

v1.0.179

October 5, 2026

The code you type to see PINs now goes into six boxes, one digit each — paste or phone autofill fills them all.

  • Code entry as six boxes

Typing moves to the next box, backspace steps back, and a pasted or auto-filled code fills the lot and checks itself.

Find it in Team → People → Show PINs

Add by hand stays POS-only unless you say otherwise

v1.0.178

October 5, 2026

Giving a hand-added employee an email no longer makes them a website login. A tick box decides that.

  • Website sign-in is a tick box, not a side effect

Adding someone by hand with an email used to create a website login and send them an invite. Now the email is just contact details unless you tick "Can sign in on the website" — employees are POS only by default and clock in with their PIN. Admins always have a login.

Find it in Team → People → Add by hand

  • Show PINs

A Show PINs button on the People page texts a code to your own mobile; type it in and every PIN shows on the page for ten minutes. PINs set before today have no readable copy and say "reset to view" — set the person's PIN once and it'll show from then on.

Find it in Team → People → Show PINs

Worth doing: Add your mobile number under Your account if you haven't — the code is texted there.

Labor & tips no longer hides tips from someone who didn't clock in

v1.0.177

October 5, 2026

Tips taken by a person with no punch in the period get their own row, and the report says when $0 wages are really a missing pay role.

  • Everyone who took a tip is on the sheet

An admin who rings sales without clocking in used to have their tips counted in the total but missing from the table. They now get a row marked "not clocked in" with their tips. Punches made without a pay role show "no pay role" and the report explains the $0 wages instead of leaving you to wonder.

Find it in Reports → Labor & tips

  • Reader app 0.19.0

Opening a tab asks for the name first, right at the top. On the tab itself the name carries a small Edit chip and a hint so staff know it's tappable. The PIN screen is down to two buttons: Clock in (which also just brings you back in if you're already on the clock) and Clock out — the old Login button let someone ring sales without being clocked in. The restaurant logo on the clock-in screen no longer sits on a white box.

Find it in S710 · download from the platform console

Worth doing: Install reader app 0.19.0 when convenient — 0.18.3 keeps working until then.

The card-fee switch now actually saves

v1.0.176

October 4, 2026

Settings → Venue → Card fees said Saved but didn't stick, so readers kept charging the plain total. Fixed.

  • Pass card fees to the customer — switch fixed

Turning the switch on now takes effect: the reader shows a separate Card fee line at checkout and charges the ticket plus that fee on card; cash is never surcharged. If you turned it on before today, check the switch once more — it will have reverted.

Find it in Settings → Venue → Card fees

Reports: one dropdown, and ask for the one you're missing

v1.0.175

October 4, 2026

Reports are picked from a dropdown sorted by type, and there's a Request a report button for anything we don't have yet.

  • Pick a report from a dropdown

The row of buttons is now one dropdown, grouped: Sales, What sold, Money & tax, Staff, and Golf. Same reports, easier to find — especially on a phone.

    Find it in Reports

  • Request a report

Can't find the numbers you need? Request a report, say what it should show, and it goes straight to us. You'll hear back by email, and the report appears in the dropdown when it's built.

Find it in Reports → Request a report

Overview follows the range, Sales by hour, pinned reports

v1.0.174

October 4, 2026

The headline numbers now all follow Today / 7 days / 30 days, fit on a phone, and read Sales · Paid · Still open. A new Sales by hour report, and any report can be pinned to the overview.

  • Sales · Paid · Still open

The top of the overview reads Sales (paid plus what's still open on tabs), Paid, and Still open — for whichever range is selected, on desktop and phone alike. Tips, tee times and rounds sit in the row beneath. On a phone the boxes stack so the dollar figures never clip. The open-tabs table that sat here has moved: it's under Orders & tabs, and Take action flags anything left open from a previous day.

    Find it in Overview

  • Sales by hour

Which hours of the day take the money: a column per hour (summed over every day in the range) with a line for orders per hour, and the table underneath. Exports like every other report.

Find it in Reports → Sales by hour

  • Pin reports to the overview

Under Quick actions, Pin a report puts any report on the overview as a live card — chart and headline numbers — for the range selected at the top. Full report is one click away.

Find it in Overview → Pinned reports

  • Devices & printers / Stations

Two Settings entries both said "registers". Devices & printers is the hardware; Stations is where each register stands and what it sells.

    Find it in Settings

Close out a tab from the office, and a Take action list

v1.0.173

October 2, 2026

A tab left open overnight can now be settled from Orders — card on file, a card number read over the phone, cash, or void — and a new Take action page gathers everything waiting on you.

  • Close out from Orders & tabs

Open any open tab and you get Charge card on file (when the customer has one), Enter a card number (type in a card the customer reads you over the phone — it's charged through Stripe like a tap, with the receipt and refund working the same), Mark paid — cash, and a red Void. No reader needed.

Find it in Sales → Orders & tabs → Open tabs

  • Take action

New in the left nav, with a red count when something needs you: tabs left open from a previous day, someone clocked in for over 14 hours, shifts the 4am sweep closed on a guess, hours corrections waiting for approval, phone orders not delivered, and unfinished Stripe setup. Each one has the button that deals with it. When there's nothing, it says so.

    Find it in Take action

  • Manage payouts opens your Stripe Dashboard

Once Stripe onboarding is complete the button goes straight to dashboard.stripe.com (sign in with the login you created during onboarding). Until then it takes you back into the onboarding form.

Find it in Settings → Payments

Less to set up, tidier Team page

v1.0.172

October 2, 2026

Getting started clears itself when it's finished, restaurant venues no longer see browser trust, and phone numbers read the same everywhere.

  • Getting started goes away on its own

Once every step is ticked the list disappears from the overview — no Hide button to find. The "trust this computer" step is gone from the list for everyone.

    Find it in Overview

  • Trusted browsers only where they're used

Trusting a browser exists so a front-desk computer can show the tee-sheet PIN keypad. A restaurant's tills are its readers, so restaurant venues no longer see the Trusted browsers tab or tile under Devices.

Find it in Settings → Devices

  • Phone numbers formatted consistently

Team and Customers show every mobile number as (262) 555-1234, and the edit form opens with it formatted the same way.

Find it in Team · Customers

How's it going out there?

v1.0.171

October 1, 2026

The overview opens with today so far: what's closed out, what's still open, the gap between them, and whether today is quiet, steady, busy or really busy for a day like this.

  • Closed out, open, and the difference

Three numbers at the top of the overview, always for today whatever range you have selected: money collected on tabs closed out today (tips not included), what's still owed on open tabs, and collected minus open. Early in a shift the difference can run negative — that's more on the floor than in the till so far, not a mistake.

Find it in Overview → Right now

  • Quiet, steady, busy or really busy

Today's orders (and tee times, on a golf venue) by this time of day, compared with the same time on your last eight of this weekday. A Saturday is judged against Saturdays. Matching your busiest day on record reads as Really busy. It says "not enough history yet" until a couple of that weekday have been rung through.

Find it in Overview → How busy is it?

A slow connection can't tell you a payment failed when it didn't

v1.0.170

October 1, 2026

Every charge, refund and split on the tills now shows Processing, waits longer, and checks with the server before saying anything went wrong.

  • Processing screen on every money action

Charge, refund or split on the reader or the iPad and a Processing screen with the amount comes up and blocks a second tap. If the network drops, the till asks the server whether the payment went through before saying anything: if it did, you get the receipt as normal; if it genuinely didn't, a Retry button that is safe to press — it will never charge the card twice. Needs reader app 0.18.3.

Find it in S710 · iPad

Refund just the wrong item

v1.0.169

October 1, 2026

Refunds on the tills are itemised, and a refunded sale stays in History.

  • Itemised refunds on the reader and iPad

Refund on a closed tab opens the receipt with every line ticked. Untick what the customer keeps, watch the refund total update, confirm. Lines already refunded stay on the receipt marked as such. Needs reader app 0.18.2.

Find it in S710 · iPad → History

  • Fixed: "No value for tab" in History

Opening a paid order from the reader's History screen showed an error instead of the order.

Find it in S710 → History

A simpler sidebar

v1.0.168

October 1, 2026

The Operations group is gone. The tee sheet leads Sales; registers and stations sit with the other hardware under Settings.

  • No Operations group

Tee sheet is the first item under Sales (golf venues). Registers & stations moved under Settings next to Devices, and a station no longer shows a Copy/Launch web address — registers run on your readers.

    Find it in Sidebar

  • Cellular data is now per reader

Each S710 in your card-reader list has its own Cellular switch, instead of one switch for the whole venue. Stripe charges $10 per reader for any month it's on, out of your payouts, so each switch asks first. Readers paired before today share one setting between them; pair a reader again to control it on its own. Restart the reader after changing it.

Find it in Settings → Devices → Card readers (Stripe)

Update your bank details from Settings

v1.0.165

October 1, 2026

The payments button now opens Stripe's page for your bank account and business details.

  • "Update bank & details" replaces "Manage payouts"

Your Stripe account doesn't have the small Express dashboard, so the button opens Stripe's hosted page for your bank account and business details instead. Payout history is in your full Stripe dashboard — sign in at dashboard.stripe.com with the email you gave Stripe (use Forgot password the first time).

Find it in Settings → Payments

Registers live on your readers, and a clearer fast checkout

v1.0.163

October 1, 2026

The browser register is retired — sales run on the S710 and iPad. Fast checkout now shows the result for a moment instead of jumping straight back, and a few setup rough edges are smoothed.

  • No more "Open register" on the computer

Registers run on your readers, not in a browser on the office PC. The Registers & stations page still manages which reader stands at which bar. An old bookmark to a browser register lands there.

Find it in Operations → Registers & stations

  • Fast checkout shows "Paid" for a beat

With fast checkout on, the reader flashes "Paid $10.92 ✓" for about a second before returning to the tab list, and says "Charging card on file…" while the charge runs — it no longer looks frozen or like the order vanished. The order was always in History. Needs reader app 0.18.0.

    Find it in S710

  • Restaurant logo on the reader's clock-in screen

A restaurant venue's S710 shows the Legacy Restaurant POS mark where staff clock in. Reader app 0.18.0.

  • Getting started: "Add your team" ticks off for hand-added staff

Switch between your venues

v1.0.161

September 30, 2026

An owner with more than one venue on Legacy switches between them from the top of the sidebar, and a newly added venue appears without signing out.

  • Venue switcher

If your login manages more than one venue, the venue name at the top of the sidebar opens a list of them. Picking one reloads the whole screen for that venue, so nothing from the previous one lingers.

Find it in Sidebar, top left

  • Every email, redesigned

Staff invites, booking confirmations, receipts, sign-in codes, reports and alerts share one clean look: your venue's brand up top, one clear button, and a line saying why it arrived. Invites now read like a welcome — who invited you, which venue, the three quick setup steps, how long the link lasts.

    Find it in Your inbox

  • Card surcharge rounds in your favour

When you pass card fees to the customer, the added amount now rounds up, so after Stripe's fee you never net a cent short of the ticket. At most a one-cent difference per sale.

    Find it in Register

  • Pasted phone numbers

A number pasted with a leading +1 is kept as typed instead of losing its last digit — the order-ready text goes to the right phone.

  • Narrow (58mm) receipt printers

Small receipt printers that take a 58mm roll, like the Epson TM-m10, now print properly. Until now every line wrapped on them because receipts are laid out for the standard 80mm roll. Pick the paper width when you add or edit a printer; the test print from the reader says which width it used.

Find it in Devices → Printers → Add or Edit → Paper width

Worth doing: If you already have a 58mm printer set up, edit it and set Paper width to 58mm.

  • Cellular data for S710 readers

A switch under your card readers turns on cellular data, so an S710 keeps taking cards when the Wi-Fi drops. Wi-Fi is still used first. Stripe charges $10 per reader for any month it's on, out of your payouts, so it asks before switching on. Restart the reader after changing it.

Loose items on the register, and layouts that mean something

v1.0.160

September 30, 2026

An item with no category is now one tap on every till, and a reader always knows which layout it should be showing.

  • Items without a category are their own tile

No more pressing into "Uncategorized". On the S710 and the iPad those items sit on the first screen beside the categories; on the web register they ride at the front of every category. One tap adds them.

Find it in Register · S710 · iPad

  • Messaging page says which number sends what

Every venue texts from the same four verified numbers — tee times, orders, staff, alerts — and the page now lists them with who gets each and what it carries, instead of a blank "sending number". A restaurant sees order, staff and alert texts with no tee-sheet wording.

Find it in Settings → Messaging

  • Every reader runs a layout

A reader with no layout now says "No layout assigned to this reader" instead of quietly selling everything. Clock-in, tabs and payments on existing lines keep working. Venues that had readers but no layouts were given an "All items" layout so nothing stopped.

Find it in S710 · iPad

  • Set a layout once per kind of device

Under POS layouts → Defaults, choose what T600 counter terminals, S710 handhelds and iPads run. A reader without its own layout follows the default for its type; a layout picked on a specific reader still wins. Each reader row now shows what it is and which layout it's actually running.

Find it in Settings → Devices → POS layouts

  • Restaurant venues are Legacy Restaurant POS

A restaurant venue now carries the Legacy Restaurant POS name and logo everywhere customers and staff see it — the dashboard, the register and PIN screens, emailed receipts and approval links, scheduled reports, the subscription page, and the texts sent on your behalf (signed "Legacy Restaurant POS:"). Emails arrive from that name too. Golf courses are unchanged, and sign-in is the same for everyone.

    Find it in Everywhere

  • Fixed: saving a layout failed

Creating and editing layouts said "Check the layout settings" no matter what. Works again.

A mobile number for each team member

v1.0.159

September 30, 2026

Adding someone by hand had nowhere to put their phone, so the shift and tips texts had nobody to go to.

  • Mobile number on the team form

Add or edit a person and there's a Mobile number field under their email. That's the number their clock-out and tips texts go to; it shows on their row so you can see who's missing one.

Find it in Team → People

Connect Stripe works for new venues

v1.0.153

September 27, 2026

Pressing Connect Stripe on a brand-new venue said "Couldn't reach Stripe". Fixed. Your Stripe account is now a full one — you sign in at stripe.com to see payouts — and Stripe, not you or us, carries chargeback risk.

  • Connect Stripe on a new venue

The connect button now creates your account the way Stripe currently asks for. After onboarding, "Open Stripe dashboard" takes you to stripe.com, where you sign in with the email you gave Stripe.

Find it in Settings → Payments

  • Clearer wording on the getting-started list

The staff sign-in step now says what it's for: letting staff use a PIN on the counter computer.

A getting-started tour, tipping you can switch off, and a faster checkout

v1.0.152

September 27, 2026

New venues get a step-by-step list at the top of the overview that ticks itself off as you go. Tipping and the after-sale prompts are now yours to switch off, and the catalog is easier to build by hand.

  • Getting started, one step at a time

The overview now opens with the setup list in the order it needs doing — bank, rates, tee sheet, items, card reader, team, front-desk computer, your website — each with a button to the right screen. Steps tick off on their own as you finish them; hide the card once you're done.

    Find it in Overview

  • Tipping can be switched off

Untick "Ask customers for a tip" and nobody is asked for one anywhere — the counter reader, the iPad, the S710, or the overnight auto-close.

Find it in Settings → Venue → Service & tips

  • Fast checkout

Tick "Fast checkout" and a card sale just goes through: no signature pad, no "do you want a receipt?". Cash still shows the change due, and a receipt can always be printed or emailed from History. Tills pick both switches up the next time they load.

Find it in Settings → Venue → Service & tips

  • Catalog: categories show up straight away

Add or retire a category and it's in the item form immediately — no more refreshing the page.

Find it in Sales → Catalog

  • Items without a category

Leave "Category" blank and the item sells on every register under "Uncategorized", never prints a kitchen ticket, and shows in reports under its own line.

Real payments

v1.0.151

September 24, 2026

The platform now runs on live card processing. Connect your Stripe account from Settings and every tee time, tab and reader tap settles to your own bank.

  • Connect your bank in Settings → Payments

Stripe walks you through your business details and bank account once. After that, online bookings, register sales and card-reader taps all pay out to you on Stripe's schedule.

Find it in Settings → Payments

Worth doing: Press Connect Stripe and finish the form. Any reader is then registered from Settings → Devices.

  • Abandoned online checkouts free their seat

A golfer who starts booking and closes the card form no longer holds the tee time. Half an hour on, the hold is released and the time is bookable again. A booking that was paid is never touched.

    Find it in Tee sheet

  • A gift card that almost covers a sale

When a card comes within a few cents of the total, a little is left on the card instead so the remainder can still go on a bank card. Nobody is stuck with a sale that can't be finished.

A redesigned admin, tee sheet and customer experience

v1.0.150

September 18, 2026

Same features, arranged so each screen has one job: a grouped sidebar, a tee sheet built around the selected day, a register that keeps the bill in view, and customer pages that work on a phone.

  • The tee sheet is one day at a time

Pick a day, see every group, who's arrived and who still owes, and search by name, phone or time. Booking, blocking times and finding or refunding a booking open in focused panels instead of stacking down the page. The online-booking switch sits at the top and stays open whenever booking is closed.

    Find it in Tee sheet

  • Navigation grouped by what you're doing

Overview, Operations, Sales, Customers, Team, Reports and Settings. Every old link still works. Gift cards, customer insights and messaging are in the menu now rather than only reachable by URL.

    Find it in Left sidebar

  • Orders, catalog and gift cards have real detail views

Orders split into open and closed with search, filters and a bill drawer; refunds show the tax-inclusive amount and where the money goes back to. The catalog is searchable with an editor and a register preview. A gift card shows its money and round balances separately, with its full history.

    Find it in Sales

  • Customers can browse before signing in

The mobile order page shows the menu first; the basket survives signing in, and the total is worked out by the server before payment so what's shown is what's charged. Booking shows its steps, and the confirmation page checks the real booking status rather than trusting the payment redirect.

Find it in Order page · Booking page

  • Keyboard and screen-reader friendly

Dialogs trap and restore focus, sections are keyboard tabs, focus is always visible, and controls on touch screens are larger. Kitchen screens keep their dark, high-contrast look.

The season switch, where you'd look for it

v1.0.149

September 18, 2026

Turn online booking off for the winter from the top of the tee sheet.

  • Online booking on/off at the top of the tee sheet

One switch. Off, and your website and booking link stop taking bookings and show your closed-for-the-season message instead (you can edit the message right there). Everything already on the sheet is kept, and you can still book at the desk. Flip it back on in spring. It's the same setting that lives under Settings → Tee times → Booking window, just somewhere you'll actually find it in November.

Texts from the right number

v1.0.148

September 17, 2026

Tee-time texts, order updates, staff shift notices and manager alerts are being moved onto four separate numbers, so people can tell them apart and stop one without losing the others.

  • Four numbers instead of one

Until now every text — a golfer's confirmation, "your order is ready", a bartender's clock-out summary, an owner's overnight alert — came from the same number. Each kind now has its own, and a STOP on one only stops that one. The new numbers are going through carrier verification; each lane switches over the day its number clears, and until then it keeps sending from the number you have today. Nothing to do on your end.

Gift cards, split pay, and a desk that asks before it prices

v1.0.147

September 16, 2026

Physical gift cards that carry money or rounds of golf. A foursome can pay four ways on one tee time. The desk booker asks 9-or-18 and walking-or-riding before it picks a rate. And staff invites now go out every time.

  • One tee time, four payments

When a group walks up together but pays separately, pick "Each pays their own" on the desk booker. The tee time is booked and held straight away, and each golfer then pays for their own seat — on the card reader, in cash, or with a gift card — all under the one booking. Someone who turns up late can be taken from the bookings list when they arrive; the booking shows what's still owed until everyone's paid. A refund on one of these sends each card payment back separately and tells you how much was paid in cash or by gift card so you can hand it back.

Find it in Tee sheet → Book a tee time → Each pays their own

  • The desk asks holes and cart before it picks a rate

Where you price 9 and 18 holes differently, or walking and riding, the desk booker now asks those two questions once for the group and then lands every golfer on the right rate for the day. Before, it quietly defaulted to the cheapest rate of the day — a riding eighteen on a Saturday was being charged as a walking nine unless someone noticed. Any rate can still be overridden per golfer under "Other rates". The online booking page has always asked; the two now agree.

Find it in Tee sheet → Book a tee time

  • Staff invites go out every time, and you can see when one didn't

Someone added by hand with an email now gets their invite email straight away, instead of sitting on the team page as "invite pending" with nothing ever sent. Anyone still waiting shows either "invite pending" (the email is out — it's on them) or "no invite sent" (it's on you), with a Send / Resend button next to their name. The team page is also split in two: admins and managers on top, staff below.

    Find it in Team

Worth doing: If anyone on your team page shows "no invite sent", press Send invite next to their name. If you were told to expect an invite and never got one, ask your admin to do that — or use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page, which works for any account.

  • Set up a new card reader with a guided walkthrough

A step-by-step page for a reader still in its box: register it, mint its device key, type the values in on the reader, and see it check in. Nothing to look up or remember.

Find it in Settings → Devices → Set up a new reader

  • Demo mode is gone

The "demo" switch that let a till run with no reader and no Stripe has been removed — every till now signs in with a device key. Old demo tabs stay out of your reports as before. The reader app still shows a Demo checkbox on its setup screen until the next app update; leave it unticked.

Find it in Settings → Devices

  • Order a run of cards

Name a run, say how many, and you get a CSV of codes to send to your card printer. The cards arrive worth nothing: a card only becomes spendable when someone sells it at the counter, so a box of blanks in a drawer is just plastic. Save that CSV until the cards are printed, then delete it — we keep the codes encrypted and genuinely can't show them to you again, which is also why nobody who gets into your admin can read them.

    Find it in Gift cards

  • Money on a card, or rounds of golf

Two products, one card. Put an amount on it and it spends like cash on anything. Or put rounds on it — "four × Weekday Walking 9" — and each one buys exactly that, cart included or not, whatever your prices are by the time they use it. Rounds are sold against one of your own rates, so what the card buys is never ambiguous.

Find it in Till → a tab → Sell gift card

  • Spending one

At the counter, type the number in the close-out screen: it takes what it can off the bill and leaves the rest on the card. Online, there's a "Got a gift card?" box at checkout — a rounds card covers the green fee outright and the golfer pays nothing. And there's a page they can check their own balance on without ringing the pro shop.

Find it in Your booking page, and /gift-card

  • Gift card sales don't get counted twice

Selling a card is money in on the day you sell it. Redeeming one isn't — that money already arrived — so a redemption is left out of your takings and shown separately on the payment-methods report. Selling a card is also untaxed: no goods have changed hands yet, and the tax lands on whatever the card eventually buys.

  • Cards never expire unless you say so

The default is no expiry, deliberately. Federal law puts a five-year floor under gift certificates and restricts inactivity fees, and some states make you cash out small balances — so an expiry date is your decision to make, per card, and nothing here sets one on its own. You can cancel a card that went missing; the history is kept either way.

The turn, saved block-outs and cash tips

v1.0.145

September 2, 2026

A batch of things courses asked for: eighteen holes on a nine-hole course now holds two tee times, the windows you close every week can block themselves, and the clock-out asks about cash tips.

  • Eighteen holes on a nine-hole course holds two tee times

Booking an 18-hole rate at a nine-hole course means playing the same nine twice, so the sheet now holds a second tee time about two hours later for the same group. There's no second charge — the 18-hole rate already covers both nines. It shows on the sheet tagged “turn · 2nd nine” so it reads as one round rather than a duplicate booking, and your reports count it as one round too. If the afternoon is full it says so instead of quietly booking nine holes. You set the gap, or switch it off, and staff can untick it on a single booking when a group is only playing nine.

Find it in Tee sheet setup → 18 holes on nine

  • Saved block-outs, with a weekly automatic switch

Save the windows you close every week — league night, a standing outing, cart-path mornings — as a name, a day and a time. Press Apply to take them off the sheet now, or switch on Automatic and it happens every week on its own, with new tee times blocked the same night they're created. A time someone has already booked is never pulled out from under them; it tells you which ones to cancel yourself.

Find it in Tee sheet → Saved block-outs

  • Cash tips, asked at clock-out

Card tips are already on the tab. Cash tips are the one payroll number you can't work out from your own takings, so the clock-out now asks while the person is still standing at the till. They can type it, tap “Text me a link” and do it on their phone, or skip — and skipping records nothing, so a shift nobody answered stays blank instead of claiming a zero. The same box appears on the “you didn't clock out” link, and cash tips come through as their own column on the payroll export. Both the prompt and the text-me-a-link button have their own on/off switch.

Find it in Team → Time clock → Payroll settings

  • Adding someone to your team is one email field

Type their email and they get a link to set their own password, phone number and 4-digit register PIN. That's also the only way a PIN stays a secret the employee actually owns. The hourly rate and the tip-pool tick are gone from the person form — both now come from the role someone clocks in as, which is where a shift already picks up its pay rate. Adding by hand is still there for anyone without an email address.

Find it in Team → Everyone at this course

Worth doing: Check every pay role has an hourly rate on it. A role with no rate means a shift recorded with no pay attached.

  • Red, amber and green on the kitchen screen

Every ticket now carries a coloured dot and a matching border: red means nobody has started it, amber means it's being made, green means it's done and waiting to be collected. The minutes since the order came in sit in the corner and turn amber at ten and red at twenty. Orders handed over by table number, buzzer or tent card have always shown here alongside the ones that text the customer.

    Find it in Kitchen screen

  • Phone numbers are checked before a tab opens

The number formats itself as it's typed, so a missing or doubled digit is visible in the field, and the finished number is read back in full for the customer to confirm. A number that isn't a real ten digits is now refused. Before, the tab opened anyway with nobody attached to it, and the first anyone knew was the “your order is ready” text going nowhere.

Find it in Till → New tab, and the desk booking form

  • The booking screen no longer waits on the customer

Send an approval link or push a charge to the reader and the form hands itself straight back for the next person in the queue. The booking you just took moves to a line at the top with the customer's name and tee time, and sorts itself out there — a spinner while you wait, a tick when they pay, a cross if it's declined. You can have several going at once.

Find it in Tee sheet → Book a tee time

  • Any date range on the dashboard

Today, 7 days and 30 days are still there, and next to them is a custom range with a start and end date. Pick the same day twice to read a single day. Now you can ask what the tournament weekend actually did, or how June compared with May.

Find it in Dashboard, top right

  • What the weather was doing

The year-on-year card now carries the conditions for both days — today and the day it's comparing against — whatever they were. When there were no takings at all last year it finishes the sentence for you: “It was heavy rain that day.” Shown either way on purpose; if it only appeared when it excused a bad number it would become a way of explaining away every quiet day.

Find it in Dashboard → today by location

Worth doing: Enter your ZIP code once, in Settings → Venue → Location. Nothing shows until you do.

  • The rate for the day is chosen by the day, not by price

Booking screens used to pre-select whichever eligible rate was cheapest. They now pick by the day of the week, and the slot is labelled WEEKDAY or WEEKEND next to the time so it's obvious which price list is in force. Staff can still change it — only the starting point moved. The same fix went onto your public booking page.

Find it in Tee sheet → Book a tee time, and the online booking widget
